Most of us have experienced at least one traumatic event before we even reach adulthood and these experiences can often help us to form negative views of ourselves and the world around us. Often a symptom of trauma is feeling stuck, trapped, hopeless, or helpless. When a traumatic event occurs, our brains often don't process it properly which leads to us developing unhealthy beliefs about ourselves and the world.
